Odoo POS v17 and 2 Cash Registers

Question

Hello!
Is it not possible to have 2 cash registers setup , sharing the tables of a restaurant floor, and then cashing one off seperate from the other?

When I try this, it keeps saying orders are still in draft mode - which would be the other orders being put on in the 2nd cash register.

We have seperate shifts at the restaurant and need to be able to have 2 seperate cash registers for 2 different people, but letting waiters put orders through as and where required.

Hi Michael. I'm not an expert (yet) but in my testing in Odoo 17 if you configure a "point of sale" for each of the cash registers, all with the "Bar/restaurant option) and using the same table map, the orders are automatically shared between different "Point of sales". You'll need to create a separate cash payment method for each "Point of sale", e.j. "Cash - reg 1", "Cash - reg 2", etc.
