Im in the Inventory Module in v11 CE and I can see the option Reporting>Inventory Valuation which gives me a list of subcategories with the products inside.  When I open a subcategory it displays the individual products in that category, their quantity and stock valuation.  What I want is to export this to excel with each product subcategory expanded and each product with their valuation.  But in order to do this I have to checkmark each product's checkbox in order for it to be exported to excel.

I have quite a few categories and over 4000 products.  

Is there an easier way to do this?

Hi Marcio:

You can remove the Group By category criteria from the search filter and then select the checkbox in the Title row to select all the products.

EDIT:

Go to Inventory > Reporting > Inventory Valuation. Clear out the filters in the Search box and then select the checkbox in the Title row to select all the products.




Select Action > Export to export the data. You will get the popup shown below to select the fields to be exported.

Select the following options:

Export Type: Export all Data

Export Formats: Excel

To select the name/description of a field, select the + sign to expand the field in the list of Available fields and select the attribute of the field that you want to export. For example, to select Internal Category/Complete Name, select the + sign to the left of the Internal Category field, scroll down and select Internal Category/Complete Name and click on Add to add it to the list of Fields to Export on the right.




Now when you export the data, you will get the descriptive names in the Excel file.

Yes but I still need them grouped but with stock valuation at the individual and grouped level

When you Export the data make sure the Category field is also selected in addition to all the other data that you need. Once you get the data in Excel, you can run Pivot reports on the data for the grouped level valuation.

You don't need to customize the view if you are exporting data. At the time of export, you have the option of selecting the fields that you want to export. Make sure that the Category field is one of the selected fields.

The native export feature only references ID field values for category and does not have the field for stock valuation. Iow, I get product_id & categ_id/id key reference values, not the actual product & category names. It also doesnt have a stock valuation field as the view does. The excel export function will export the list view but that list view doesnt have the categrory column.
