I don't want to show this information to my Customers.

How can I just show the Product Name?

I would want this on the PDF report and via the Customer Portal.

Hi,

Thank you, but it didn't fix my issue.
I don't want to see the "Product" (name or anything), I only want to see the "Product description", when I print the Quotation. 

For the Invoice, it's working correctly, but for quotations I have these issue.

I was wondering whether you have a solution to extract the description from the field line.name, so I'd like to display line.product_id.name in bold, which works fine, below I'd like to show the description placed on the quotation, not from the product. Unfortunately with the provided answer I can only hide the internal reference field.

Thanks, I guess it does work. But internal users can't see the reference either. They gotta click on the remaining description to see what product it is. Any idea how to go further?

Somewhere inside Odoo, it should say: display name = internal reference + description
It'd be great to remove the internal reference from that calculation. Without coding that is...

Activate Developer Mode, and navigate to the Sales --> Orders --> Quotations Menu.


From the Debug Menu, navigate to User Interface --> Action.


In the Context Value field, add the following:

'display_default_code': False



The Quotation / Sales Order PDF and the Customer Portal View will now show just the Product Name without the Internal Reference.


Note that once you access the Quotation from the Sales Orders Menu, your internal Users will see the Internal Reference but your Customers will not.  You can make the same change to the Sales Orders Menu Action if you also want to hide it for records opened from there.  Also, this change will affect Quotations created AFTER you make this change, not those made before you make this change.
