1) Login on Odoo using desktop Chrome browser and create a RECEIPT or TRANSFER job

2) On your mobile phone, use Chrome browser and login to Odoo
3) Tap on the Barcode icon
4) Tap on "OPERATIONS"
5) Tap on the RECEIPT or TRANSFER job
6) Tap on the BARCODE ICON to either scan the location or the product barcode
7) A prompt will appear. Tap on "Use Camera to Scan"
8) Tap YES to allow Odoo permission to use Phone Camera
9) Scan the barcode


Question: To the Enterprise Users out there, anyone of you experienced this that v17.0 Odoo Barcode App will prompt ("USE CAMERA TO SCAN") you each time you want to use your Mobile Phone Camera to scan a barcode?


In Odoo v16.0, the Barcode App was perfectly working fine and is able to scan 1D and 2D barcodes without using external barcode scanners.


What is the logic of degrading a perfectly working application from v16 to v17?
