We are an Electrical Distributor. We work on large projects in which a Sales Rep that supports multiple companies creates as package for each project. Those packages are initially quoted as a bulk price which includes multiple manufacturers. Once the project is finalized, we receive a breakout of products and pricing per manufacturer that is still under bulk pricing. We never get line item pricing in order to enter in the individual items.

What we need to do is create an item with a bill of materials without using the manufacturing App. This is not a manufacturing setting. In our old software, we would create a single product that would include all items from a given manufacturer. Unfortunately, due to the complicated nature of the item descriptions, certain formatting needs to take place either by tab or space delimited. Odoo doesn't allow these options in it's text field that I can find.

The only way I can see to solve this issue is to create a single product that carries the bulk cost and sell and under it's own section, add all line items. This however creates several issues. All line items would need to be zero cost and sell. Most of the line items will more than likely never be sold again in the same configuration unless and adder is created. Creating the Sales Order and Purchase Orders would be extremely tedious and prone to errors.

Has anyone run into these type of issues or is there another solution i'm missing?
