How can I limit the visibility of a product to a specific user or user tags/company. I'd like to have products that are visible for anyone (even those not logged in) and then a different set of products for users who are loggedin.

Use case example: consider two subscription products, the first can be purchase by anyone, but the second requires approval, and once approval is given I'd like to "mark" their account in a way which allows for the second subscription product option to appear on their products list while logged in.

So is the following the process for setup?

1. create the new website (the membership is a seperate store)
2. Active the option "Prevent Sale of Zero Priced Product" in sales settings.
3. Set the membership to $0 forcing the "buy" button to be replaced by "contact us for information".
4. Setup a new price list specific for that membership and list the actual prices.
5. When someone contacts me for information regarding the membership, if I approve them, have them make an account (or just make it for them since they're already contacting us) and then on their contact profile click on the "Sales & Purchases" tab and selected "pricelist" and select the relevant price list option which has the real prices on there and assign it to their contact.
6. Contact the client again, have them sign into their account and select the product for purchase showing the correct price which they can proceed to get with the now present buy button.

Best Answer

1. Active the option Prevent Sale of Zero Priced Product on your Website

2. On the default Pricelist, assign prices of $0 to those products or services needing approval(so they can't be purchased).

3. Create another Pricelist with the actual prices and assign it to each approved Customer.
