Hi thank you, I tried it in my testing data base and it did not work. Eg. I have alcoholic Bev as my parent category and then I have beer and ciders and wine and liquor all under alcoholic bev. Then I have Food as another parent category with Starters, Grill, Seafood etc.

So when i originally set it up in the point of sale it gave me 2 main topics food, alcoholic bev then when i select food it opened up all the sub categories. But now after a waiter search for an item in the search bar all i see is beer, ciders, wine, liquor, grill, seafood, starters. All in one with no parent categories. 

Really hope someone can help as this is a issue for staff to work efficiently.

Please verify in the POS settings that, under the "Restrict Categories" option, the parent categories are listed(as shown in image). When you add these categories, they will be visible in the POS otherwise, they will not be visible
