I have set up different price lists (about 12 price lists) for different client groups. This price lists are linked to each client group permanently and have certain discounts on the whole product catalouge.

Now I would like to set a temporary price discount on a certain product: for example "product A - price discount 10% until 1st october 2024" that ALL clients get on top on their permanent price lists.

If I understand right, I would need to set up this this product discount in every of the 12 price lists, is this correct?

Or is there an other way to set up an temporary product discount that applies to all clients, no matter what price list is linked?

Thanks for your help.

This works with the product I want to give a discount to but every other product basically turns back to default price because my PROMOTIONS pricelist has every other product in base price instead of using the other rules I have set up for each client's pricelist. Is there a way around this where each client keeps their ruleset except for the discounted product one?

You do have to modify every Pricelist, but if you do it smartly you will never have to edit them again and will have a scalable method to add seasonal discounts for products that you want to make available to all Customers.

Create a new Pricelist called Seasonal Discounts.

Add a new Pricelist Rule to each of your 12 other Pricelists that references this new Pricelist:

This setup just adds the line from the second pricelist to each of the others, without any other discounts being given.

Although you do have to do this 12 times initially, any time you want to modify or add seasonal discounts, just add them to the Seasonal Discount pricelist and every Customer will automatically get access to them.

As you gain more Customers and create new Pricelists, just be sure to cascade the Pricelist Rule like this for each new Pricelist you create.

awesome! Thank you so much, this is a great solution.

One more question: as far as I tested the promotion price works perfectly in the sales module, but it's not working in the POS module: do you have an idea why or how to fix?
