While deploying Odoo I would like to use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage as the main storage system, I am unsure how to configure it.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Comptabilitat
- Inventari
- PoS
- Projectes
- MRP

Hi,
To use an OCI Object Storage bucket as file storage in Odoo, first enable the S3-compatible API in OCI, create a bucket, and generate an access key and secret key. Install the OCA modules storage_backend, storage_backend_s3, and filestore_backend so Odoo can work with S3-compatible storage. In Odoo, create a new S3 storage backend using your OCI keys, bucket name, region, and the OCI S3 endpoint in the format https://<namespace>.compat.objectstorage.<region>.oraclecloud.com, then set this backend as the primary filestore. Once configured, Odoo will store all attachments and binary files directly in the OCI bucket instead of on the local server.
Hope it helps
I hope you are doing well
Quick solution: OCI Object Storage has an S3-compatible API. Use an Odoo S3 module (like attachment_s3 from OCA) and configure it with OCI's S3 endpoint:
https://<namespace>.compat.objectstorage.<region>.oraclecloud.com
You'll need:
- OCI namespace
- Bucket name
I hope this information helps you
