We are on week one of using Odoo. We have not yet uploaded our inventory numbers.

We are able to 'force' orders by OKing the stock warning i.e. we have no stock.

We are unable to Validate the deliver to create an invoice. 

Is is possable to create an invoice now pending uploading our inventory numbers?

Hello ,

Yes you can create invoice before delivery of product but you want to confirm your sale order.

Using Product configuration Path :

Inventory --> Product --> Invoice Page 


They Have Two kind of : 

1. Ordered quantity

2. Delivered Quantity

If you select Ordered Quantity than it's based on order we can raise invoice after confirm the SO

if you select Delivered quantity than it's based on based on delivered quantity we can raise invoice

So according to your requirement you select Ordered quantity Ordered quantity option.

Hi Keith Hare,
Yes you can create invoice before delivery or after delivery order.
The configuration is available on Product master.

1) Ordered quantity (based on order we can raise invoice after confirm the SO)

2) Delivered Quantity (based on delivered quantity we can raise invoice)

So in your case you have to choose 'Ordered quantity' configuration on product master.
