We are trying to transition from Slack to Discuss however when someone asks a question in a chat we cannot select that question and reply specifically to it! I think this would be an important feature to add seeing as all messenger apps are now using this, Telegram, Fb etc.
ANyone have a solution or addon module for this?

In odoo, you have no need to select the question for the answer, every message has the "reply" button. You can use direct reply button and reply. Please check below demo screenshots for you.
Just press the reply on a particular message.
You will find the related linked message link over the answer chat.
