Title:

Dashboard Journal Balances Incorrect After Restoring Odoo 17 Community

this is the original

Body:

Hi everyone,

I’m using Odoo 17.0 (2024-01-21 Community Edition) and recently migrated my Odoo setup from:

  • Old setup: Odoo 17 installed directly on Windows 10
  • New setup: Odoo 17 running in Docker on a Linux VM (Ubuntu) inside Proxmox

I backed up my Windows database with Odoo’s built-in tool (.zip backup) and restored it successfully into the Docker container.

this is when i restore the database with lock dates as the original

Issue:

After the restore, I noticed incorrect journal balances and unexpected “Misc. Operations” amounts on the Accounting Dashboard. For example:

  • Work Cash previously showed 1,128.00 DH, now shows –44,549.00 DH with Misc. Operations: 6,648.40 DH
  • Central Cash shows –6,000.00 DH, which wasn’t there before

The underlying journal entries and General Ledger reports are correct—the problem is only with the numbers showing in the dashboard summaries. The Bank journal balances appear correct.

this is after i remove the lock dates in docker (for the original nothing happend)

Important details:

  • I use a custom accounting module called “Odoo Mate Accounting”.
  • All custom modules were copied from the Windows addons folder and installed in the new Docker/Linux setup.
  • I’ve verified that all custom modules are installed and enabled in the new environment.
  • I tried disabling the custom modules, but it did not change the incorrect journal balances.
  • PostgreSQL version 15.6 is used on both setups.
  • Accounting lock dates are enabled in the new setup. When I remove the lock dates, the journal balances on the dashboard change and sometimes get closer to the correct values like screenshot.
  • Last year, I was mainly used the Misc. Operations journal for adjustments rather than correcting journal balances directly.
  • I’m not sure how to properly handle or recalculate balances related to lock dates after restoring the database.

What I’ve tried:

  • Clearing browser cache and restarting Odoo services in Docker (no effect)
  • Disabling custom modules temporarily (no effect)

i preacher your help 🙏
