is it possible to have a discount that only applies to certain customer where if this customer gets discount of $10 for every 300 products from "Product Category A" he/she purchased?

this customer is a regular customer where he purchases products under "Product Category A" every day

Price lists will do the job.

  • First you need to check Sales Pricelists in Access Rights for the current user ( from Configuration > Users > Users )
  • Refresh the page
  • Go to Sales > Configuration > Pricelists > Pricelists
  • You can then either modify the existing one or create a new one, you will be able to set several conditions, including for which partner it applies.

Note: In Sale Order, make sure the correct price list is chosen, the one with the configurations you just created.

What I mean is... Lets say Mr A discount is based on his puchase every 100 product X he bought he gets $10 off on his next invoice. On 01/01, he bought only 50 product X (so he didnt get the discount). Then on 02/01, he bought another 50 product X (he will get discount $10 because he has bought product X). Then on 03/01, he only bought 10 product X (he won't get discount)

This will require a custom module, there is no configuration in OpenERP that allows you to achieve this right now, as far as I know.
