When changing/modifying customer address it reflects the change even in old Sales Orders where payments are already registered. How can we retain the original address of the customer in the old/registered sales orders and reflect the change only in new sales orders?

Hi,
you can changing/modifying customer address it reflects all of the record which is already created.

For Ex. customer 'ABC' have already sale order and invoice. you can change address of Customer ABC.
then all record are updated which are the available in Customer ABC

Solution is:

you can Create a new partner with the new address.  Add the old customer as a contact to this newly customer.
