When scanning a quantity within the Barcode app, a unit of 1 is added every time. 

I found that when I open the edit screen via the "+ ADD PRODUCT" button, a unit of 1 is shown in the quantity field. 

  1. How can adding a unit of 1 be prevented?
  2. Is the default quantity of 1 causing this behavior?
    1. Would changing the default quantity from 1 to 0 resolve the issue?
    2. How can the default quantity be changed?
  4. Does the default of adding quantities rather than replacing the quantity causing this behavior?
    1. Can the behavior be changed from adding to replacing? (Note: this would not be our preferred solution)

Please note that we are using the default GS1 nomenclature.

Well, it turns out that you have to modify the barcode app. We had one of our consultants do it.
