Hello fellow Odoo users,

We are currently using Odoo v15 hosted on Odoo.sh and are preparing us for a big event. One of our primary communication channels is email and it is imperative for us that all of our emails land in the recipients' inboxes, rather than their SPAM folders. Given the sheer volume of emails we'll be sending, it would be disastrous if our emails were to be marked as SPAM.

I was hoping the knowledgeable folks here could help us with tips, strategies, or configurations to ensure our emails are perceived as legitimate by different email services and avoid the SPAM/Junk folders.

Here's what we've done so far:

  1. We've made sure that the content of our emails is not spammy - we've stayed clear of phrases or keywords commonly associated with SPAM.

  2. We've ensured our mailing lists are up-to-date and the recipients have given us their explicit consent to receive emails.

  3. We've been working to keep our sender reputation positive, sending emails to verified email addresses and promptly removing those that bounce.

However, we're not sure if that's enough or if there are specific settings or practices within Odoo that we can leverage to help us in our situation.

A few specific questions we have are:

  1. Are there specific configurations we should be aware of in Odoo v15 or Odoo.sh that could help improve our email deliverability?

  2. How does the email server reputation affect delivery in Odoo? Do we need to consider using a dedicated email sending service?

  3. Are there any other best practices or strategies within Odoo for bulk email sending that we might be missing?

We're eager to hear your thoughts and any guidance you can offer. Your help is greatly appreciated as we navigate this critical juncture in our event planning.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Yannick Stahl
