Hello,


We need to manage our employee's attendance, but we can't find the perfect hardware to scan their badge or so.

Odoo suggested some devices but all of them have issues, so if we choose iPad option, it is not secure, anyone can cancel kiosk mood. It is also expensive

for the RFID reader and the scanner, they need to be connected to the system via USB wire, which is not functional.

suggest which hardware we can use that solve the previews issue, or give me a hint of what you do in your company,

In V17 they have improved / solved the kiosk mode security issue in attendance.
I would recommend the RFID or barcode scanner option with a USB if you are using a PC such as an "all-in-one" device with combined touchscreen like HP or Dell makes.
Alternatively, you could use a bluetooth barcode scanner like this, it works with Android or Apple devices as well as a PC. If you are worried about people stealing it, just attach it to a wire and make sure you charge it daily.

Hi! I still have one question with this, the rfid scanner is always online, but does the module has to be open for them to scan their attendance? or does it check in and out even if the pc is off]?
