Hello,

I'm using odoo since few days and it works well for my needs :

  • Online digital services sell
  • Customer portal
  • Mailing 

I already achieved to create my website and now I'm working on the customer portal part.

I would like to add custom fields in /my/account :

  • Allow user to post a file
  • Allow user to post a string
  • Push a read only information from backend to the user

I'm using Odoo online, and already add custom fields in the customer view but I really don't know how to add this fields to /my/account view.

Any help is welcome !

Hi Emmanuel,

Late reply but I struggled on this one too and it looks like adding your field on the optional fields (https://github.com/odoo/odoo/blob/bac9ed6d84ff64ef39741cb66afdf565c7e9f221/addons/portal/controllers/portal.py#L376)

like this in your own module

def _get_optional_fields(self):

        optional_fields = super()._get_optional_fields()

        optional_fields += ['YOURFIELD']

        return optional_fields

would make it work. It's one of the thing we had to do, not sure it's the only one but I leave you to try it
