Baby Club SA is a company that was founded exclusively to manufacture textile products for children. With almost 40 years of experience behind it, Baby Club has been expanding in the sector and diversifying its business line.

An era of expansion

Over time and with the arrival of new challenges, they incorporated a point of sale to sell certain items exclusively in physical stores. Little by little, this line of business has become increasingly important and has seen a greater volume of sales.

At the same time, they have expanded their product range and now not only offer their own products, but have also added products from external manufacturers to their catalog. In this way, we can see how the growth of Baby Club, commercially known as Beltin, continues unabated.

However, growth of this magnitude can cause problems in day-to-day operations. In the case of Baby Club, by incorporating items from various suppliers into their existing range, along with having pre-sale product orders, they needed more agility.

In this case, they needed to streamline the creation of orders for items that were not in stock as much as possible to avoid delays and provide the best possible service. In addition, they needed to be able to properly track these items once they entered their warehouse. Ultimately, flawless inventory management was crucial to being able to move comfortably into this new era of expansion.

Another challenge they faced before switching to Odoo was to fully integrate customer records with their movements and orders and with their accounting. This went hand in hand with the need to have all the information on both deliveries of items already made to customers and on payments and accounting status. They needed all this information to be accessible quickly and easily.

Given the need for a software change, Baby Club focused primarily on finding solutions centered on the field of textile and childcare distribution, as warehouse orders, product reservations, and purchases paid in installments are very common in this field.

However, among the specialized software available for the textile sector, they couldn't find one that met all their requirements. Either they needed updating or they depended on third-party programs, which made integration and logistics impossible. That's when they found Odoo.

Evolving with Odoo

After deciding to make the leap to a completely new program for Baby Club, they began implementation with Odoo. They started by importing essential data into the database, such as customers, suppliers, and products. This implementation was carried out with the help of an Odoo Business Analyst.

The initial problem was abandoning old processes and getting used to a new way of working, as many of their day-to-day operations were changing. In the case of Baby Club, they had been working with their previous operating system for more than 15 years. As is the case with many companies, making this leap and getting employees used to working in a different way is always costly. However, with the help of the project manager assigned to Baby Club, they achieved a successful implementation and were able to manage the entire company from Odoo.

In addition, Baby Club's involvement in the implementation process was key to the tool's proper functioning. By dedicating hours to the project, expanding their knowledge of the system, and researching the tool, they were able to resolve issues that arose during implementation that affected operations.

With the system fully implemented, Baby Club highlights a remarkable improvement in workflows related to orders from suppliers for missing items, merchandise receipts, and their subsequent allocation to customers who had requested them.

In addition, the point of sale has been another notable improvement for Baby Club. They now have a POS that is well connected to customer accounts and merchandise deliveries.

When asked if they would recommend the system, Baby Club told us that they have already done so. They believe it is a powerful and truly useful tool, and the help it has given them in logistics operations has been a game changer for the company.
