The Odoo has added a digit 1 to my website name. Can I correct this mistake?

Instead of website.odoo.com - it made it website1.odoo.com

The addition of a digit "1" to your website name in Odoo typically occurs due to a Domain Name Conflict. The name you initially chose (e.g., "website") may already be in use by another Odoo user. To avoid conflicts, Odoo automatically appends a number to create a unique subdomain (e.g., "website1").

How to Correct This Mistake

To correct the website name back to your desired format (e.g., "website.odoo.com"), you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Odoo: Access your Odoo account.
  2. Go to the Website Module: Click on the "Website" app from your dashboard.
  3. Access Website Settings: Look for the settings or configuration options, usually found in the top right corner.
  4. Edit the Domain Name: Find the section where your website's domain is listed. If the option to change it is available, you can edit it to remove the "1" and revert to your desired name. (First DB created) → repeat process for second DB
  5. Save Changes: After making the necessary changes, ensure you save them.
  6. Contact Odoo Support: If you cannot change the URL yourself or if the desired name is still unavailable, reach out to Odoo support. They can assist you in resolving the issue and may be able to free up the original name if it is indeed available. → Odoo.com/help
