am writing to request urgent assistance with an access issue we are experiencing in our system. Our setup includes multiple companies, each with its own set of unique customers. However, some of our users are encountering access errors when attempting to view customers assigned to their respective companies.

For example, user ID 16, who is associated with Company X, is unable to access customers of Company X through the Point of Sale system. When they attempt to search for a customer, the following error message appears:

Access Error

Uh-oh! Looks like you have stumbled upon some top-secret records. Sorry, Jama Ali Rugunbaa (id=16) doesn't have 'read' access to:

  • Companies (res.company)

If you really, really need access, perhaps you can win over your friendly administrator with a batch of freshly baked cookies.

This issue is impacting our ability to effectively manage customer interactions and conduct business operations smoothly.

Hi,

To ensure that not only are multiple companies enabled for the user, but also that those companies are activated. If a company is not activated, users associated with that company may encounter access errors when trying to view or interact with records within that company. By activating the relevant companies, you can ensure that users have access to the necessary data and functionalities within each company they are associated with.

Hope it helps
