is there a way to have openerp default to a specific domain? currently when you go to it, it askes you to select a domain and I want for customers to be in the database automatically without selecting the domain

run your server with parameters
-d database-name --no-database-list
For more check server parameters.
I run ubuntu 13.10 how do I start it with the above settings, it starts on its own
via terminal or if you have auto start script then edit configuration file.
Can you give an example? openerp starts on its own when the server starts
