I'm trying to create a a simple vendor bill. The vendor and product have already been created. The product is linked to a Payable account (not CL), and each the product, the account, the vendor, and the bill are in USD.

When trying to confirm the bill, I am met with the error:

Any journal item on a payable account must have a due date and vice versa.

However - there is no journal item, but there is a product item mentioned above. There is no due date field that I can see, just the Bill Date and Accounting date (both of which are the same).

What am I missing?

Under Accounting, the Vendor has been setup as such for the Receivable and Payable Accounts:
Receivable: Ancillary Services USD (Type Receivable, Allowed Journals Empty, USD, Allow Reconciliation)

Payable: Third Party Services USD (Type Payable, Allowed Journals Empty, USD, Allow Reconciliation)

What else is there to configure, or to correct?

Seems this is the account type error. The vendor account must the type "Payable". Please check the vendor account and its type configured in your vendor master

Great communication here as I get the same error.  My problem is that it is continuing even after I have confirmed all AR/AP accounts are Receivable and Payable types.  And my Tax accounts are current Liab.

Any other advice?  Thanks,  David

Hi,

Please open the corresponding vendor master, and see if the receivable and payable accounts are configured correctly in the master. If the configured account type for this two fields in the partner master is wrong, then this error is seen.

So please verify those two accounts are of correct account type in the partner master.

Thanks

It happened to me also and the problem was the account type on the tax.

Under Accounting - Configuration - Taxes check that the tax account is a current liability instead of payable. Maybe this tip helps.
