I started with an Enterprise test database on line and now I would like to migrate it to Odoo.SH for testing on odoo.sh and use it permanently. Is this a common occurrence? Could someone summarize or point me in the right direction as to where to find the method to do it?

What you can do is that take the back up the corresponding database in the odoo online and restore it in the odoo.sh . I think there is no option to test the odoo.sh without buying it(not sure) . Better you can contact the odoo support and discuss your case with them, they can get you the available options.
