In Belgium, restaurants with an annual turnover higher than 25 000 euros (outside of drinks, take-away food and VAT) need a Blackbox connected to their Point of Sale software. 

If the Blackbox is required for your company, you need to: 

• Create a database in a certified version (in February 2023, certified versions are: V9, V13, V14, V15)

• Order your hardware:

• A Blackbox from www.boîtenoire.be (Blackboxes from Retail Innovation are not supported!)

• A compatible ticket printer

• An adaptor serie K-USB 

• A Raspberry pi 4 model B 2GB (= IoT box)

• Register your Blackbox on the SPF’s website (French page, Dutch page).

• Send a support ticket with the following information: 

• Subject: Blackbox Registration Belgium

•  VAT number

• Name, address, and legal form of the company

• Mac address of the IoT box where the black box will be connected OR on the IoT homepage just below the IP address

• Configure your database:

• Download the “pos_blackbox_be" module

• Add your VAT number in the Company Settings

• Add your ID National Number in your Users Preferences in Odoo

• Activate the cash rounding in the Point of Sale settings (Amount=0,05 & Rounding Half-Up)

• Configure your Tax-included in Price in your Point of Sale settings

• Link your Blackbox to your IoT box in your  Point of Sale settings
