Handle archive employee/user related records in odoo since it is changed as undefined

Question

If an employee is activated, his related records  is updated as undefined. How to handle this in odoo
Suppose if we had created a custom field as many2one using hr.employee and if that employee is deactivated his related records is modified as undefined. I don't need that to modified as undefined

deactivated his attendance record is still available under his name

archived records won't be in the result of a standard search, but it should not update any existing relations between models.
Could you give an example with a standard odoo?
