You can configure a ribbon using any combination of background and text colors, via the web editor color picker or via HTML codes, as well as two modes (slanted / tag) and two positions (left / right).
This is possible via both the Web Editor (front end):
... and the Product Form view (back end) when Developer Mode is active:
