Add the serial number again

Question

I have purchased goods that have a serial number from a supplier and sell them to the customer, Then I bought the same goods again with the same serial number!
Now when adding the same serial numbers in odoo, the item is rejected and a message appears that the serial must be unique.
Is there any solution?

It's not a good way to use same serial number, but if you want to do this then you need to deactivate SQL constraints of that field if you are technical person then you can do this.
Or another way is that you can define another field like serial number and use as serial number and assign same serial number in that field.
