I want the amount of products to update when they are bound to a BOM of a product that have enter a manufacturing phase, is this somehow possible? and not first after the manufacturing phase
Example: In a chair there is used 4 screws, when a chair has started to be manufactored, the amount of screws in the inventory should be minus 4. And not when the chair is done.
This feature is available in v15EE, not sure about other versions.
If you click the "..." on the BoM components you can tick to show "Consumed in Operation" in the list view of components. You can change the operation that each component is consumed in. If you select nothing then the component will only be consumed when the manufacturing order is complete.
For your example:
- Screws: Consumed in operation = first operation
This should be what you are looking for
When you open an MO you can click "check availability", all items after that should be reserved from the stock to that MO. After this you can either Plan or Start the manufacturing.
