Sander De Kegel, CFO and head of the internal processes of the company, started hissearch for a suitable ERP solution in the summer of 2009. He had a clear list of requirements and analyzed the market in search of solutions and implementations. He came to OpenERP and Noviat.

Earlier, ecoworks built its financial management system on a standard accounting package, supplemented by a number of spreadsheets, as it is often the case in small organizations. The company wanted to present to its customers and suppliers the image of a good, healthy and effective financial management system. Therefore, the first phase of the OpenERP project with Noviat covered the implementation of cost accounting, the automation of stock management and the implementation of an integrated solution for the processing of tenders. Due to the complexity and uniqueness, the manual processing of tenders is painful and requires a lot of time. The cost accounting implementation made it possible to control and minimize projects costs, to better determine and follow incomes and margins. In the longer term, stock management will make it possible to control stock levels and movements in real-time , including the supervision of additional orders or corrections emanating directly from working sites. “Each step of the Noviat/OpenERP project falls within the scope of the increased automation of our processes,” says Sander De Kegel. A secret of a successful implementation lies, according to Sander De Kegel, in the small things :
