I want to transfert all of my OpenERP datas from an old computer to a new, but when I save the data from the old one to restore them on the new one, it does work.
How to do that ?

Hello,
It's possible to backup your data directly using postgresql (using for example pgadmin) or commad line. After you can restore datas usang the same way

unless I am mistaken, a simple backup does not transfer data and OpenERP function from one computer to another. In any case, I have not been able to transfert my openERP to another computer.
Of course I hace installed openERP to destination computer before restore the BDD...
When I restore on the new computer, there was an error :
XmlHttpRequestError INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
<title>500 Internal Server Error</title>

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.
Help...
- Copy the entire
addons/directory from the old machine and replace it in your new computer's OpenERP installation base. - Restart the server
- Backup the database and restore it in the new computer

What obstacle did you face?
It's possible to do a bckup from the postgresql. You can use for example pgadmin.
