I am a new user on Odoo system.
My new account staff used Jet reports for many years, he did not use Odoo report before.
I can get API key and URL (come from PowerBI connection before ) Would it be ok to make connection for Jet report ?

Would PowerBI and other reports tools could query on Odoo Database (Accounting) fields?
'And other' is quite a vast question, but, in general yes, but it depends on your hosting environment. Self-hosted Odoo or hosting via odoo.sh on a dedicated server (shared odoo.sh hostings do NOT provide this option!), will allow you to access your database by the means of SQL from outside. The 'how', especially on self-hosted setups will require different steps based on your current network setup.
Also, utilizing 3rd-party modules or external connectors (i.e. for Odoo Online instances) are an option. See for example these posts related to Power BI

Thank you for reply. After further chatted with account staff, Let me use Jet report "term" to express data fields: 1. Department Code (Dimension 1), 2 Budget Code (Dimension 2), Party Code (Dimension 3). to generate reports. Would PowerBI and other reports tools could query on Odoo Database (Accounting) fields ?
What exactly are those alternatives?
We use Dynamics NAV and we have a large number of Jet Reports.
