In a purchase order for a "Subcontracted Product" if I choose -> Deliver to: Dropship and choose a Drop Ship Address, by confirming the PO the following Validation Error appears:

The operation cannot be completed:

- Create/Update: a mandatory field is not set

- Delete: another model requires the record being deleted. If possible, archive it instead.

Model: Production Order (mrp.production), Field: Operation Type (picking_type_id)


How to solve it?

The "Pull" solution for this:

- Create a New Warehouse

- Add this Warehose to the Warehouses from the route "MyCompany: Resupply Subcontractor"

- With developer mode activated, enter the Rule of this route and under Applicability leave the Warehouse field empty

So it is possible to choose in the PO a "Deliver To" where subcontracted products should be delivered directly.

Any rational or explanation to this behavior for having to a create a new warehouse?

This error is not limited to sub-contracting alone but with all products which have a BOM associated with it and is being drop-shipped with a PO

Thanks for your observation, in the case of the question I was looking for a solution for delivery to an external Warehouse, and as it didn't work I tried with dropship. Maybe I need to change the question and replace "external adresse" by "external Warehouse".
And about the issue questioned in your comment, I would like to analyze it, is there already a question about it on the forum?
