Usually the user is created first, and then the "create employee" button is used to create a new employee linked to the user.
Sometimes may happen that an existing employee needs to start using Odoo: which is the path to follow to have the existing employee linked to the new user ?
There is a field called "Related User" in Employee to link the employee with any user.
