Hi Yannick,
if you really need to print immediately after clicking the button you need to use an advance app like Direct Print PRO. Moreover it helps to print on any printer (not in local network) without additional hardware. And it works out of the box. Available from Odoo 10 and up to Odoo 16.

use window.print in js. In which odoo version your are using ? .In odoo apps some third party apps is there you can choose for preview pdf without download.
