Is there a way to assign tag(s) to transactions in Odoo Accounting? Examples might be sales, marketing, R&D, finance, etc. Or, it could be segments of operations or divisional. For example, by regions or locations or plants. Ultimately, the point of tagging is then to report on that (those) dimension(s).

Hi Kyre:
The Accounting module has a feature called Analytic Accounting that can possibly be used for this. The feature needs to be enabled by going Accounting > Configuration > Settings , scrolling down to the Analytics section and enabling the Analytic Accounting checkbox. This will allow you to specify one of the Analytic Accounts at the time of processing the transaction and then using it to analyze the data in the reporting views.
You can also enable Analytic Tags if you are interested in allocating costs and revenues based on the tags selected.
