Hello, I use Odoo 18 on-prem. I create a project per month and create a task for each my activity I spend for this customer. I define the customer as a follower on the task.

My customer sees some tasks, but not all of them. He is defined on each of them. I tried to remove him and add him again => same thing.

I asked him to sign out/sign in => same thing

I asked him to force a refresh on Edge => same thing

Does anyone have an idea ?

Thank you

I restarted my server and nothing change.
I created a new task and my customer doesn't the task. he is a follower of the project and all tasks.
Do you know where I can see all tasks details? In database ? In logs ?

In Odoo, tasks are not visible to customers by default due to access rights and portal user restrictions.

To Make Tasks Visible to Customers (Portal Users):

  1. Enable Customer Portal Access:
    • Go to the Customer's contact → enable "In Portal".
  2. Share the Project:
    • On the Project form, enable "Customer Visibility" and link the customer in the "Customer" field.
  3. Adjust Access Rights (if needed):
    • Go to Settings > Technical > Security > Access Control Lists (ACLs).
    • Add read access to the project.task model for the Portal group.
  4. Grant Task Visibility in the Portal:
    • On the task form, set the customer or related project so it reflects under their portal view.

Hi. thank you for your answer. My customer sees 5 tasks and 5 record in the timesheet.
The project has 8 tasks. I tried to remove and recreate => same thing. It is not the first time, so I would like to know if it could be due to my server or the application.

How can I check that ? Logs ?

Hii,

  1. Share the Project with the Customer
The customer must have access to the project itself, not just the task. Go to the project and share it with their portal user.
  2. Check Project Privacy Settings
Make sure the project visibility is set to allow portal users (e.g., “Visible by following customers and invited portal users”).
  3. Verify Customer is a Portal User Linked to the Correct Partner
The customer’s partner must be linked to a portal user and be the same partner added as a follower on tasks.
  4. Check Task Visibility and Record Rules
Ensure no custom record rules block portal users from seeing some tasks, and tasks are not marked internal only.
  5. Test with Another Portal User
Add a test portal user as a follower on the same tasks to confirm visibility issues.
