Hello Odooers,

We use Odoo Online for our invoice dispatch. Our activities are billed post-paid with timesheets. We would like to send a timesheet and the invoice by e-mail. In the "Invoice: send"-template, I can also select "Timesheets" for dynamic reports. But I don't know what this setting does for me. If I want to send an invoice by e-mail, there is only a single PDF (invoice) attached. I would also have expected a "Timesheet" in the attachments. What can I do to automatically send invoice and timesheet?

Thank you

Steffen

Seams to be a bug. See: https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/187381

Hello , Graf

1. Modify the Email Template

  • Go to Settings > Technical > Email > Templates (you may need technical access to view this).
  • Search for the Invoice: Send template.
  • Check the section for Dynamic Attachments:
    • Make sure the Timesheets dynamic report option is selected.
  • Save the changes.

2. Check the Generated Invoice

  • When generating the invoice, ensure it includes the timesheet data. This is often shown as a breakdown or a detailed report of billable hours/tasks.
  • Open the invoice in the Invoices app, click Action, and select Send by Email.
  • The email should now include two attachments:
    1. The invoice PDF.
    2. The timesheet PDF as a dynamic attachment.

Hello Rakesh,
I've already done this. The timesheet PDF will not be attached! So the pull request on Github remains valid.

I've tested the process on our Odoo Online instance (17.0) as well as on demo.odoo.com (currently 18.0).

Regards
Steffen
