Hello,

I'm starting to use Odoo CRM to send email to my leads. Previously, I used GMail on the side to send the mail. But I'm trying to transition to use the Odoo Chatter to better keep track of the conversation in a single Tool. But the behaviour it a bit strange.
1. The subject of the email cannot be customize. It's always the document title.

2. The Subject in email always start with "Re: ..." while it's the first email getting sent.

This is a bit confusing and unexpected.


Its it possible to change this behaviour.

Thanks to both of you for this pointer. I did not know it was possible to bring a Full compose email from the chatter.

Still. Do you know if it's possible to customize the default subject ?

Hi Patrik, 

this is absolutely expected default behavior of the system.

To change the subject of the email, you just need to click on the "Full Composer" icon in the chatter.

After that, the system return the "Compose Email" wizard, where you can edit subject.


In the future, you need to do the same thing (change subject) every time you want to add email to the same thread.

If you do not change the subject when replying to each email, then Odoo will send a email with the subject "Re:..."
