I'm following this installation guide:

I have cloned all git repositories into the following folder:

/home/tpl155/magento_odoo

In /etc/odoo-server.conf I have:

addons_path=/opt/odoo/odoo-server/addons,/opt/odoo/custom/addons,/home/tpl155/magento_odoo/connector,/home/tpl155/magento_odoo/connector-ecommerce,/home/tpl155/magento_odoo/connector-magento,/home/tpl155/magento_odoo/e-commerce,/home/tpl155/magento_odoo/product-attribute,/home/tpl155/magento_odoo/sale-workflow

I have executed the following command:

pip install magento

In Odoo I updated the modules list using Settings > Modules > Update Modules List

Then I go to "local modules", I remove all filters and I type: "Magento Connector", but I can't find any module.

1) Why?

2) I have another question. In repositories I see a __unported__ folder:  what is the meaning of this folder?

Hi, check in __openerp__.py  file if "Installable" is True

Checked:

- Connector branches are cloned from GIT in same directory as other addons

- Addons folder is listed in /etc/odoo.server.conf

- Changed ownership from root to odoo for the connector addon folders and files

No error messages at any point

Still I can't see the magento connector when I update module list in Odoo 8

This is exactly the problem I'm having. I've tried everything. I just don't believe that anyone is actually using this connector. It simply doesn't work.

We have encountered the same issue, cannot find the magento connector.

Are you still trying to install? There is some pretty good documetation around. I could find if you need. Great system.
