Does anyone know if the V7 Payroll module has the ability to prepare a spreadsheet that can be uploaded to the bank for EFT payment to employees? Or, better yet, is there a way to integrate it with the actual banks so that it can initiate the payments?

The payroll module doesn't provide a EFT file out of the box. However it wouldn't be that hard to write a module that would export you the file to have the bank process. I have done something similar for TD using their 80 column flat file format and it was pretty simple.
