I am looking for an installation guide to install Odoo 17 on RHEL 9 but I am unsuccessful.  The closest ones I can find are:

https://www.rosehosting.com/blog/how-to-install-odoo-17-on-almalinux-9/

https://www.soladrive.com/support/knowledgebase/5149/-How-to-install-Odoo-17-on-AlmaLinux-8-or-CentOS-8.html

These do not seem to work very well for RHEL 9.

Does anyone have any installation guide for Odoo 17 on RHEL 9?

Hi BL;

I came across your post about setting up Odoo 17 Community on RHEL 9, and I wanted to share that we've created an AWS image for Odoo 17 Community on Alma Linux 9, which is compatible with RHEL 9. https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-bdd3lwkm65yka

This image might save you some time and effort if you're looking for a pre-configured solution. It's been set up to ensure compatibility and ease of deployment.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to provide more details or answer any questions you might have.

Phil

The issue is described in this article:

subscription-manager, yum command failed with a python traceback error - Red Hat Customer Portal

When setting Python 3.10 as the version of Python in the environment, RHEL commands like subscription-manager and yum will start failing.  But Python 3.10 seems to be a requirement for Odoo 17.  To solve this problem, the solution seems to be to revert back to Python 3.9.
