Hi - I have linked my custom domain to particular Odoo website in April 2024 yet if someone searches on Google - they see ODOO as website name AND (XYZ.odoo com) as the URL. Whats happening??
I have also updated necessary fields in website settings (URL, Website Name), Yet no resolution. I am using Odoo Websites 17.4+e.

Set up a 301 redirect from the Odoo URL to your custom domain.
In your Odoo website settings, go to Website > Configuration > Settings and look for the option to redirect to your custom domain. This will ensure that anyone visiting the Odoo URL will be redirected to your custom domain, and search engines will eventually update their index.
You can also configure redirection in your DNS settings or your server.
