How to move from one fiscal localisation package to another?

I have the case where I would like to move one company from the Generic localisation package to a specific one.

The company is active for several years under the generic localisation package and now that a specific localisation package is available to my region, I would like to take advantage of it.

Is there a clever way to achieve this?

I would suggest the below approach -
Create a *new company in Odoo* and install the localization at creation. Migrate only *opening balances and active masters* (partners, products, taxes). Keep the old company as read-only (for history). Start fresh from a given cut-off date with the localized CoA.
