Hello...

I'm working on setting up lead times for our manufactured product.

Do customer leads - at the product level - take into account the number of products ordered?

All the documentation includes a single desk...what if my customer orders 1,000 desks?

The lead times in Odoo is fixed, and do not take into account quantity ordered.   It also do not take into account if the customer lead time on a product is shorter than the total of other lead times (like lead time for purchase or manufacturing + security lead time).  It do not take into account actual purchase orders or manufacturing orders.

From the set lead times, it only calculate backwards.   So it do not calculate ATP (Available to promise) on a sales order.

From my point of view, this a weakness in Odoo for supply chain and MRP.  I reality lead times is not fixed, since logistics is always dynamic.

Read about it in Odoo documentation here:

Hey Lars-

Thanks for your answer. It was surprising to me, which lead to my question, that the functionality would be static.

Further, I think Odoo is confusing by including this Customer Lead Times concept at the Product Level. Why would you set it there?

From my POV, everything should be driven by the procurement and production process... if you can't produce it, then customers can't receive it.
