I used to be able to create multiple companies, adjust hierarchy by setting parents, and then setting charts of accounts and currencies specific to each subsidiary.
Now, the parent field is longer there (unless I am in developer mode) and hierarchy is created as branches. With this configuration there is no longer the option to assign different default currencies or have different charts of accounts.
Has anyone found a way around this?
@odoo Please provide an answer to this. I have a support ticket in the system related to behavior issues in core accounting functionality since upgrading a database to 16.4. It appears to stem from the way the child companies in the initial implementation were converted into "branches" on the upgrade. The child companies used to each have their own COA...but now all accounting moves want to reference the parent company.
Any help would be appreciated!
