When I raised an issue ticket to resolve some issues that I faced, I got video tutorials as guidance from the Odoo team.   The video showed my live data and transactions that I had entered in the app.  This means the customer assistance team has access to my live data raising data privacy concerns.  

Has anyone faced such an issue?  Can I restrict Odoo team from seeing/accessing my financial data?

No - you must host Odoo on your own Server to restrict access.

As discussed in our Privacy Policy - "Our Helpdesk staff and engineers may access [Customer Database] information in a limited and reasonable manner in order to solve any issue with our services, or at your explicit request for support reasons, or as required by law, or to ensure the security of our services in case of violation of our Acceptable Use Policy in order to keep our services secure."

If you ask for help with the Accounting App, the Support team will access the Accounting App on your database.
