What is the best way to adjust for consumed components on a closed Manufacturing Order so that the cost analysis and inventory both get adjusted?

Example: The manufacturing order was closed however is was discovered that one of the components was reporting as 28 units consumed when in reality only 7 where used in the product. 

An entry can be done to put the 21 units back into inventory with an inventory adjustment however the cost of the Production order would not reflect this. I am looking for a way to correct both the inventory as well as the costing of the order.
