I would like to customize a sequence with the customer reference (used as code). I tried the following variable in my sequence : %(partner_id.ref)sSO
But I got the error
File "/home/mcassuto/SFL/openERP/7.0/server/openerp/addons/base/ir/ir_sequence.py", line 218, in _interpolate return s % d KeyError: u'partner_id.ref'
Is there a way to use model fields rather than the provided variables ?

No, actually ir.sequence only supports %(hour)s and date functions. If you want to modify this you have to create a new module and develop it by yourself.
