I’ve successfully deployed Odoo 17 with PostgreSQL 16 on my self-hosted server in June 2024, and I'm managing it through Portainer. Everything is working great so far.

The business team has now requested an upgrade to Odoo 18, and I’m aware there’s a Docker image available for Odoo 18. My plan is to set up a test environment, migrate the PostgreSQL data, and test everything with Odoo 18.

However, I’d like to ensure a smooth migration without data loss and minimize downtime. Could anyone provide expert advice on the best approach to achieve this efficiently?
